Many students in university, especially older students, leave college because of many reasons. Some of these reasons include; college taking too long, inability to pass certain GE classes, financial burden, or family circumstances.

 For my second book, I've decided to read Resilient by Dr. Rick Hanson. I will be honest and say I'm a bit behind as I've actually just gotten the book, but I'm going to start reading it this weekend. The reason I chose this book is, honestly, because the title stood out to me. I interpreted it as a book on how to gain mental toughness, which I feel I do a good job of staying mentally strong but can always get better. I think a lot of people can benefit from having good mental toughness. World We Dare to Imagine

 I honestly don't know anything about what my first step into changing the world could be. If I'm honest, when I think about what I wanna change, I can only think of somewhat selfish thoughts, in the sense that the way I would "better the world" is in ways that benefit me. I suppose I don't feel I'm in any position to make any large change in the world. I feel if I'm going to make any change at all, it would be in changing the lives of those close to me. I feel that's the most realistic way that I would create change. My family and I have gone through the wringer if I'm going to be honest. Without getting into it too much, things have been rough for a long time, and I went to USC for the sole purpose of changing that. That's been my goal ever since I got here.
